    We downloaded 12.0 to our shared server a couple days ago, and I have had a chance to push buttons, pull switches and use controls, and I cannot believe how user friendly Tiki became from 9.8 to 12.0. It was already user friendly at the 9.0, but once I got the 12 loaded up, I could not believe it!
    We have been looking at wiki software for a month now, and we keep coming back to Tiki Wiki. All the wiki software out there has some great plus's and minus's and they are built for differing levels of expertise, my level of knowledge is not the best, so when I came upon Tiki 9.0 I was so happy to have found it, I pulled my hair out with Media Wiki not too mention the total lack of a full featured wysiwyg, there is no way our older generation users we have in our community would be able to use it, it's a great program, but man what a boat load of options and different ways to do the same thing, I could not get my head wrapped around Media Wiki.
    Then I uploaded Tiki 12.0 and what a wonderful format you all came up with! I am not that great with configuring software, but your smart configuration made it easy. I was thinking about going live with our wiki site early next year, but because of the ease of use of Tiki, we may go live this month.
    Now I need to figure out how to upgrade to 13.0 and check it out. I have a test user domain I am using so I can destroy at will!
    So, thanks Tiki Wiki for making a complex platform so easy for us novices to use, you are the greatest.

    Torsten, thanks for forwarding this one, I wanted to make sure you all knew that folks like me are out here, blown away by the software, and flat out happy. I cannot imagine the work that must of went into this software, it's mind boggling to say the least. I am a Joomla hack, meaning I know how to plug in modules and content, and that's about it, so if I can use tikiwiki with any amount of ease, then anyone can! Thanks again Torsten, great job!

    Thanks heaps, John, your words are highly (& kindly) appreciated :-)

    Arild Berg was the main architect of the Wizards idea & code, and I helped him while I had plenty of spare time last year to make contributions to the Wizards, so that people like you could get easily introduced to the software you are willing to use for your needs. ;-)

    Thanks for the welcome Xavi, I appreciate it much. Here is the deal, I know I am going to start sounding like a cheer leader here pretty soon, but we run an older community. We currently have our main landing page site at www.thepatriotwoodworker.com  This is our main page where we tell folks who we are, we are woodworkers who support disabled veterans. Then we have our community forum at www.thepatriotwoodworker.com/forums and our community is heavy with veterans and woodworkers in our 50 plus year old demographic. To put a Mediawiki in front of them would have been the same as throwing them and me into the fire. To learn markup, or to deal with the Visual Editor (which is a tad better then markup) it just would not have worked out well, we would have had a bunch of frustrated folks who want to contribute but would have sat it out if we went with the big MW.

    Our guys want to contribute to our new wiki, and now they will be able too thanks to the ease of use and the comprehensive WYSIWYG editor. It is somewhate similar to what they are  using on our community forum. So guys, you have made our lives a bunch easier with this software, it is well thought out, it flows nicely, and it's easy to use.

    We are going to have our wiki tabbed in the navigation of both our sites once it's launched. I'll report back once we get it up and running, but I have very high hopes, this will go over very well for our folks and the veterans we serve.

    Oh yes! And the Wizard, that was awesome! What a great way to let folks jump right in, it was a snap. Great job on that one Xavi!
