    Good day folks, I am trying to figure out if we can use the external rss feeds to also bring in images from an rss url from an outside website.
    For example, I want to rss my community forum image gallery to a module in the front page of our wiki, the rss feed at our community forum image gallery is http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/rss/gallery/
    I created a feed at the home page of our wiki at left side order 2. We are using Tiki 14.0 with Utopia as the theme.
    Our site is at http://thepatriotwoodwiki.org/HomePage
    My big question is, can we somehow configure the custom feed to bring in images as well? I have investigate this in the Tiki Docs https://doc.tiki.org/External+Feeds but have not had much luck understanding if images will populate the feed as well. But that may be because images don't! Simple as that.

    In order to include images in an RSS feed, I believe you must use the enclosure tag. It appears that your feed (http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/rss/gallery/)  simply wraps the image (inside the description) with a CDATA tag. You'll need to change your feed to use the enclosure element instead. See the RSS spec for details.

    Thanks Rick, is the enclosure tag inserted at the "External Feed" url field when the feed is created?

    I did try it and the External Feed field did not recognize it as a url and would not save.

    No, you need to change how the http://thepatriotwoodworker.com site is creating the RSS feed — not your Tiki site. I'm not familiar with the system you're using (IP.Board), so I'm not able help.  :-(

    The underlying issue is that the site that is generating  the RSS feed needs to use the correct tag if you want to "grab" the images from the feed.
