webdocviewer returns "No preview available"

I seem to be getting this message for all my webdocs whether using a fileid or url.
Neither can I view them if I pop them out, though the url or fileid in the browser link are correct.

I don't have php skills but viewing the php errors shows this

PHP (5.6.14) NOTICE (E_NOTICE):
File: lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_webdocviewer.php
Line: 52
Type: Undefined index: default

Please advise the cause and how to correct.

Tikiwiki V12.6 (problem also occurred on 12.4)
http://www.chaplaincyacademy.com/tiki10/tiki-index.php?page=HomePage normally demonstrates the problem, but sometimes it works.
Browser can be either Firefox or Chrome in Windows Vista (latest versions) or Firefox on Linux Mint 17.3.
When it does not work "contacting apis.google.com" appears at the foot of the browser, but not when it works.
This is a .pptx file.

I have a bitnami installation of Tikiwiki 14.0 on my Vista PC for testing and I get the same problems with it.
I have had no success with a .docx file.
