Tiki Installer cannot proceed

posts: 2 Ireland

Hi,

I'm trying to install Tiki on an Apache web server on Centos 7.
I am kind of a beginner to linux and web servers.

I have completed the steps listed in the installation guide and when I booted up my domain I get the following message. :-----

Tiki Installer cannot proceed

The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/db/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/dump/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/img/wiki/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/img/wiki_up/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/img/trackers/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/modules/cache/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/temp/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/temp/cache/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/temp/templates_c/' is not writeable.
The directory '/var/www/html/tiki-18.1/templates/' is not writeable.

Your options:

1- With FTP access:
a) Change the permissions (chmod) of the directories to 777.
b) Create any missing directories
c) Execute the Tiki installer again (Once you have executed these commands, this message will disappear!)

or

2- With shell (SSH) access, you can run the command below.

a) To run setup.sh, follow the instructions:
$ cd /var/www/html/tiki-18.1/
$ sh setup.sh

The script will offer you options depending on your server configuration.

b) Execute the Tiki installer again (Once you have executed these commands, this message will disappear!)~~

__I have change the permission of all of the dir and his doesn't change anything about the message.
Thanks for the help in advance __

no still not resolved, after about a week of trying different methods I gave up,

Any suggestions about what could have gone wrong would be much appreciated.

Hi,

it is easy to fix. In /etc/sysconfig/selinux disable SELINUX.

Copy to clipboard
# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system. # SELINUX= can take one of these three values: # enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced. # permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing. # disabled - No SELinux policy is loaded. SELINUX=disabled
