    • Moving from 1.7.x to 1.8.x

    I'm having a rough time converting the database because of a duplicate key error when running the SQL script for upgrade. Any hints on how to solve this?

    UpgradeTo18 has the details for upgrading between 1.7 and 1.8. Its not as easy as just running the 1.7to1.8.sql file

    These instructions work but are painful in a shared hosting environment. Is there any thought being given to a more graceful migration scheme (i.e., a php script)?

    If my memory serves all upgrade operations are done through tiki-install.php. Shell or root access is not required.
