Hi all

A client has just reported that not having the page modification date and contributors info on wiki page print view seems like a bug, and i tend to agree.

However, it appears that we never did have that (i checked 12 and 9) so adding it now might be seen as a bad thing and not "respecting the environment" to have them suddenly turn up, so do you think we need to add pref/s for them, or just let people hide them using CSS if they really don't want them?

TIA

jonny

Hi Jonny:

It might be considered as a feature, I guess, in some cases. Therefore,
to respect the environment, why not the opposite: add tht ainfo but
hidden by default, and tell your client how to enable with css.

Or even better, add a new pref. for it. Yes, we have trillions of
preferences in the Wiki section, but this is how Tiki nature is (obeying
the 3 rules)

Thanks!

My 2 cents

Xavi

I agree it looks like a bug, and it should be fixed.

"Letting people use CSS" still looks like not respecting the environment,
as they will just see some unexpected extra work after a minor upgrade of a
site they thought was finished.
So maybe an option under "Allow override per page" in page
tiki-admin.php?page=wiki

Cheers,
