[Solved] Assign a user to a group

Hello,

I begin using TikiWiki.
1) I have installed V12.3
2) I have defined a group "G1"
- in "G1" definition, I have activated " the user is able to put himself in this group"

I want to know how a registred user can define :"I am in G1 group" ?
Thank's for your help.

You can do this a few different ways...

  • Use the User can select a group... option (on the Admin: Login page) to allow new users to select a group when the register. Please see the docs for details.
  • Use the Subscribe Group plugin on a page to allow users to join a group. Again, please http://doc.tiki.org/PluginSubscribeGroup" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">see the docs for details.

Thank's a lot, Rick, for your response.

On the Admin, login page, i have forgotten to select "advanced".

Now, it's ok: I see the option "users must choose a group at registration" and i have selected this option.

But, when a new  user want to register, the group is not asked !

why ?

At registrating, I have 3 errors (see screen copy). how can i solve these 3 errors ?

Thank's for your help.

Did you select more than one group? Did you enable the Users must choose a group at registration option?

It looks like you're missing some pre-requisites. I'm not sure why they appear on the registration page, though. Are you trying to use a Pretty Tracker for registration? Please see the docs for details.
