theme: Green Valley

posts: 189 Ukraine

Hi,

I'm working on an agriculture project so am using the Green Valley theme (tiki 12.3) - very appropriate and looks great!

Just one small issue, which I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way or a bug.

when using 'Tracker List' on a wiki page, the first information line (data entered) shows up in the same dark green font as the top bar (field names) -
GreenValley First Information Line

When viewing directly through the tracker, all is fine (only the top 'field names' bar is dark green).

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

You can edit styles/greenvalley.css to fix this. On line 611 of that file, you can see:

table.normal tr:first-child {
    background: #004C1A !important;
}

Try changing "table.normal tr:first-child"

to "table.normal th". You can also delete "!important".

This change fixes the problem for me in my test, and I don't see any unwanted side effects in other tables (I just checked on tiki-listpages.php and a few others).

Hi again,

along the same lines (Green Valley theme gui), there seems to be one other minor issue with the theme - when menus are created that include sub-levels, a small 'drop-down' triangle appears in the top menu name, but rather than being next to the word it's behind the last two letters of the word - here's a screenshot:

GreenValley Dropdown Triangle

The simplest may just be to eliminate the drop-down triangles, if this is possible without affecting the drop down menu structure.  Any help with what lines to change in the .css would be awesome!

thanks,

Mike

Hi Gary,

thanks for the quick help!

managed to do everything you said, but no changes.  I searched the file for like instances and the same text is on lines 567 & 744.  Maybe I should also change these two?

thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Did you clear Tiki's caches after changing the style sheet (at tiki-admin_system.php)? I'm kind of surprised the fix didn't work at your site, since, I'm assuming, our greenvalley.css files are the same, and the fix works here. If you clear the caches and still have the problem, maybe you could post a link to the page and I can check it with my browser's inspector.

I thought I did clear the cache but apparently not (just did 'Rebuild the Index' in Admin > Search).  So I cleared it and the first information line is no longer dark green, problem solved!

Thank you very much for your help!

Mike
