Upgrade to 14.2 and images will no longer center using tiki formatting?

Hi, I recently upgraded my tiki database from 13 to 14.2, and all of the images in my tiki entries are now left-aligned. They were all centered using tiki formatting
and previously we had no issues. Does anyone know what in the upgrade caused this and how to fix this problem?

Example:

The change is a result of Tiki adopting the Bootstrap CSS framework. Now images in wiki text are responsive by default, meaning that their size will change as the display size changes. But a side effect of that is that the div style="text-align: center;" that's used to center the image no longer works.

There are two ways to get the old appearance back. You can give the image a responsive="n" parameter. Then the text-align: center should work. Or you can give the image a new class="center-block". (Then the text-align: center around the image won't be needed, by the way.)

I believe these should work. If you could try and if there is any problem, post again.

By the way, I live near Tokyo and have walked past the Takarazuka theater quite a few times but haven't had a chance to see the revue live yet.

Hi Gary,

Thanks so much for your reply. I feel a bit like I have the begging bowl out here, but I never properly learned CSS. Is this something I can change for the entire tiki at once in the Look and Feel customization part of the settings? Or is this something that needs to be individually done for each image?

What a small world! I used to spend every weekend in Tokyo before I moved back the the States a couple years ago. Yurakuchou is a cool neighborhood.

Cheers,
Jen

Hi Jen,

You can try adding this in the Look and Feel Admin page's Custom CSS:

Copy to clipboard
.img-responsive { display: inline-block; }

If it works, it should work for all images that are similar to the one in your example.

Hi Gary,

Worked like a charm! Thank you so much for your patience with my complete ignorance.
