Workflow

In our wiki there are 4 groups: Anonymous, Registered, Editors and Managers (and admin, of course).
We want to create the following workflow:
Registered creates a wiki page which is not visible to anonymous (like in a Sandbox). When Registered finishes writing and editing the page he/she checks some confirmation box and save. From this point onward the Registered cannot change the page. The Registered confirmation triggers Tiki to send an email notification to the Editors. Still, the page is not public. When the Editor finishes he/she checks some confirmation box and save. The Managers receive email notification and approve or edit/approve. This approval publishes the page publicly.

Could please guide me how to do it?
Thanks

Hello,

Nice question. There are a few things that can be helpful.

Flagged Revisions / Wiki Approval allows to keep the page invisible to the public until approval is made. It's quite simple to set-up.

If you want an actual workflow involving passing around the document, you can use category transitions. This would allow you to build lists for each bucket and provide fine grained permissions for users to send the pages to the next bucket of the workflow.

Getting the notifications is a little trickier, but the upcoming Tiki 13 has some great new features for you.

Tiki 12 already includes custom activities and the activity stream feature. These would allow you to target some events in the system and do things accordingly.

Tiki 13 goes a step further with new notifications that can hook on any event, including custom activities.

Hoping these quick pointers are of any help.

Thanks for the prompt answer.
Firstly, I must say that though I am quite new to Tiki, I feel very secure and happy with it, mainly because it is created and supported by so many volunteers. Tiki project is a beautiful example for the friendliness and "help thy neighbor" rising in the world. Well done!

Re your answer - good to know that there is a solution. I have to learn more how to implement it. Maybe it will be easier with Tiki 13.
Could you direct me to some online help?
What is the timetable for Tiki 13 ?
