Articles Permissions

Hello all,

I'm using Tiki as a KB site. The company I work for is a technology provider and we license our software. At a high level, my users consist of two large groups of people: our direct clients (support side) and their clients (client side users). With the wiki feature, I am able to create 2 separate tree structures and assign permissions accordingly so that support can see both sides, but client side can only see their side.

However, I'm not sure how to replicate that using the Articles feature. I don't see any permissions I can set on each article to limit them to only 1 group. Is breaking up the Articles feature into 2 "areas" possible? If not, I may just use the wiki and tree feature in lieu of the Articles feature.

Thanks.

While you cannot assign permissions directly to articles, you can simply use Tiki Categories for this...

Create a category for each group, give the respective user group permission to the appropriate category, then categorize the articles, as needed. Please see the docs for details.
