    Installation is on a web hosting site.

    Email received containing "This message confirms that you successfully sent a test email message from your Tiki installation"

    Tiki-check-php has a few "ugly" and "Risky" lines and one bad:-

    mbstring BAD Not available The mbstring extension is needed for an UTF-8 compatible lower case filter.

    Is there a simple solution to thsi?

    Just to close off this thread.

    Having asked the web host to allow running the latest stable version of MOODLE, they migrated the doman to an environment with the Softaculous installer.

    I installed version 12.3 using Softaculous without any problems and am now learning and trying out the functionality.
