Blank page problem again, with a temporary quick fix, but unfortunately not stable.

First of all, I am not a PHP or Tiki expert, but just a user with some knowledge. My problem is the not so unusual problem with blank pages from time to time. I am running a couple of instances of Tiki for different purposes and for tests. The problem is that the different sites may work as expected for some time. However, suddenly, without any logical explanation, they only show up with blank pages (but not all at the same time of course).

By "trial and error, " I have found a quick fix by performing a "virtual upgrade". I call it "virtual upgrade" since I am invoking the tiki-install.php without uploading an updated package. During the installation process, I choose the upgrade option. After this "virtual upgrade, " the site is up and running again, but unfortunately only for some limited time. The site may after some different long periods suddenly show blank pages again without anything being changed (neither editing nor config change).

During the "virtual upgrade" (version 9.10) the following error messages show up (perhaps some clues?):

PHP (5.3.29) NOTICE (E_NOTICE):

Right now, I have performed this quick fix on http://lugnet-skokloster.org/lugnet/index.php (Tiki ver 9.10). As an example of presently blank pages are http://www.fam-jansson.net/lugnet/index.php (ver 9.6) and http://wikipilot.info/sas/index.php (ver 7.1) since I have not applied the quick fix on these yet.

First, the current Tiki 9LTS version is 9.11. You may be experiencing problems that have already been fixed. I would upgrade to the current version first, before expending too much effort trying to track down issues on older versions.

Your 9.6 and 7.1 links are showing Server 500 errors. This normally means that something is wrong in your server setup or HTACCESS file. You should review your server logs to determine the exact problem.

I assume that you've run the Tiki Server Check on your system and confirmed that it meets the minimum requirements, right? Have you tried increasing the PHP memory available? See "My Site Shows Blank Pages" in the FAQs for details.
