Easy way to prefill Description during edit page?

I've poked around some of the files and am not finding where I would do this.

I would like to prefill the Description on the Properties Tab during page creation.
"A Virtual Front Porch to discuss {{ page }}"
And then hopefully I can train users to update as necessary.

I don't really want to do this from the Admin > Meta Tag > Description, since I want to be able to customize it on an as needed basis.

Thanks for any help,
WizarDave

A quick hack would be to modify the tiki-editpage.tpl template. You could include a default value in the Description's input class. Maybe something like this:

< input class="form-control" type="text" id="description" name="description" value="{$description|escape|default:'A virtual font porch to discuss '$page}">

Although:

  1. I'm not positive how to add the $page variable — you might have to escape it.
  2. I'm also not sure that the $page is set until after you save the page.

Someone else may have a better idea.....
