Re: Creating menu ! need help
Hi opawberg, I think you are almost there!
When you create a new menu you give it a name and description.
The name is for reference in your menu list and when you go to put it into a module.
The description you will see when you list your menus. The description is just so if you have a whole bunch of menus you can see what they are for. I find it best to use something simple and easy to remember.
So rather then - menu1, menu2, menu3, etc.. I would use - forum menu, gallery menu, contact menu, etc.. If you end up with a big bunch of menus you want to make it so that you know what they are!
So in your case you could have something like...
name
contact and help
description
This is the contact and help menu
Once you have entered this information and save it you can fill it in.
After saving click the link and you can add your items.
When there you can click on the "Show Quick Urls" to add some of the more common links.
Go to MenuBuilderAdmin to learn how to do that! Oh, the MenuBuilderAdmin page seems to have the layout pics reversed. They may have been a different theme then what I am using!
Please note
When you create a new module the drop down list will have the name of the menus shown. HOWEVER, the link is in fact using the menu #. So you will have...
"contact and help", in the drop down but the syntax to include a menu in a user module uses {menu id=43}
Good luck, James
