aha, i think now i know: they are DCS (Dynamic Content)
as banners don´t seem to be working for me i could use thoase - and my images DO show up.
but: with a nasty purple border. (in a colour NOT defined in CSS - looks like the average link definition of firefox, although i have set border="0" and put the proper img-span before the whole thing...
current status quo of my problem:
options to include images:
1. as banners: still do not show up in my 1.9.7. damian
2. as DCS: can´t get rid of those ugly borders for image-links
