WYSIWYG Question

Hello all,
I have this set to be on by default. When I create a new Wiki page it is on. When I go to edit an existing page it is not on, I have to toggle it on. Is there a setting I am missing? I'm running v5.3.

Thanks!

You should upgrade to 6.2 for WYSIWYG. There were several improvements made that make the whole experience better.

As for the toggle, there are two options in the WYSIWYG panel:

  • Wysiwyg Editor is optional
  • Wysiwyg Editor is displayed by default

Thanks - I just toggled off "optional" and it is on by default now. I'm assuming that if I upgrade to 6.2 that I will need to check that my template is compatible as well?

Thanks for your quick response.

Upgrade from 5 to 6 is mostly harmless for themes. No major modifications were made to the structure of the pages, unlike in certain versions (like 7 for example). Tiki 6 is also an LTS version that will live a long time, while 5 is no longer supported. You won't have to worry about upgrading (except for minor updates) until the next LTS unless you really want to.
