copy stuff from another tikiwiki

Recently things went kaput and my friends lost their stuff. Thanks to archive.org much of the data has been preserved.

The archive.org archive is at http://web.archive.org/web/20041115023252/http://amsn.sourceforge.net/wiki/tiki-index.php

I'd like to know if there would be any way i could import the information automatically into my tikiwiki (running latest stable).

Thanks 😊

Would need to be a copy/paste operation and then re-wiki-fy the text.

The HTML import would attempt to import the whole page content including left/right/top/bottom banners

You could save yourself a little effort by at least using wget to spider download as much of it as you can. The local copies could then be manipulated (with some scripts) to at least have the text with the wikilinks.

I know this may not be what you want to hear right now, but I have a strict policy on backing up orionrobots once a week. I take both a database dump, and tar/gzip up a copy of the actual site too - and put them on a CD.
