Translation link color

I’ve just upgraded to TikiWiki 1.9.2, and I’m having another problem with not being able to find the part of the style’s CSS file that control’s the color of a certain element. In this case, it’s the purple link at the top of the “edit translation??? page, which flashes red when I click it. How do I change the color of this link?

If you mean the title
Tray to change/add h1.a in your css
sylvie

That doesn’t seem to be fixing it.

Other people have suggested that I look at the page source in order to determine what part of the CSS file is controlling the color of elements on a page, but the only IDs this seems to use are “centercolumn??? and “tiki-center???, both of which also contain a lot of other elements whose color I don’t want to change. Isn’t there a CSS class or ID that specifically controls the color of this element?

Yes. As sylvie said, it's probably an h1 (heading) a (anchor) element. It'll be within the centercolumn and tiki-center divs. Whatever the link's exact wording is, look for that in the source. You should find it preceded by an anchor tag that includes a "class=..." designation. That's what you need to find in the CSS file to change.

Another approach is to look through the CSS file for all instances of link active states and see which are red, and change those — or, maybe easier, search for all "red" instances and see which are specified for link active states and change those.

What I’m saying is that there isn’t any sort of "class" designation in the "h1" tag. I tried adding h1.a to my CSS file (it wasn’t there already), but that didn’t seem to change anything.

Is there somewhere that the color of these links is already being defined? I’ve looked for it pretty carefully in the bluegreen.css file I’m editing, and I’m pretty sure it isn’t there. But it seems like there must be something else making the links this color, and I’d prefer to edit this color where it’s currently being defined rather than adding something to override it.
