Blank Page after install

Ok - I've tried looking for documentation on this - i can't find the simple answer

I have used Fantastico to install Tikiwiki version 1.9.7 and all I get is a blank page after installation. Fantastico says it installed fine - i go to the directory and blank white nothing.

This page: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Installation+Problems&bl#All_I_can_see_is_a_blank_page
Makes no sense to me as I am not a web developer. And through File Manager - I can't even locate the files they are suggesting I edit.

If there is a simple straightforward solution/article to this - please someone send it to me. I have searched fruitlessly in the forums - I can't even work the search box correctly - it tells me there are no article s by this name - WTF!

otherwise - I guess I have to find another way to install this or another wiki altogether.

Thank you for your help in this - I just want to get on with things!

That's it😢! No one out there has a link, a solution, a disparaging comment about what a newbie I am for not searching the forums for a simple answer (at least that would get me a link!). Anyone - anything!

Tried to follow a discussion on expanding the memory size of tikiwiki to 32mb - but it was ridiculously complex.

Can't this thing just be installed and work - Like I've said before - Fantastico says it installs fine - first time trying to login and use - blank page. I look at the page source code and nothing is here as well.

Any recommendations for other wiki's that are comparable to Tikiwiki - or not- since it's so hard to get up and running.

Kate.

The #1 reason is not enough PHP memory. Please see this FAQ and the PHP Requirements section of the installation doc for details.
