I'm Gary ))Cunningham-Lee((, in Chiba, Japan. I have Tikis (currently version 1.7.3) running at our family web site and the Phoenix Developer Consortium web site.::
The Phoenix site uses a customized theme and index page, trying to minimize the "lots of boxes" CMS look. That site also has a "no-CSS" theme available to members, many of whom use behind-the-times Amiga/MorphOS browsers that don't support style sheets. I made alternative templates for most pages that (shudder) replace divs with tables and CSS styles with old-style HTML tags. Probably after the Tiki 1.8 release I'll make the switch-themes module public, if anyone wants to go retro-surfing. ๐
The ))Cunningham-Lee(( site is currently using a XOOPS theme, Dezina's xchrismus, that I adapted for Tiki. In the geo theme, I replaced the background "map" images to some that are more appropriate for the site. The switch theme module is still a bit funky in my experience as such things as the top bar image aren't switched for anonymous users. I submitted a bug report about this.
The mose, geo, geo-light, and trollparty themes' textarea text shows properly, as I've fixed these CSS files for my sites, but this may not be apparent to anonymous users since they can't edit pages, etc.
Also visit pdc.cunningham-lee.com if you like for a look at as recent a Tiki version as I can find time to keep up. Currently it's running a Jan. 6 CVS snapshot. Try the "gold.css" theme and "springtime.css" theme if you like. They are also XOOPS theme coversions, but still works in progress.
At that site's New Features in Tiki 1.8 page I've listed new features that I've been interested in as well as features and functions that are still not working right for me. I've submitted bug reports or posted on the help forum at sourceforge about things where necessary.
