Menu Not Showing Posted by Mike Churchward 02 Sep 2003 20:24 GMT-0000 posts: 15 Hi. I've created a new menu and assigned it to a newly created module. I've granted permissions to see it, yet the menu doesn't show up for any user except the 'admin' user. Does anyone know how I make this menu available?

Posted by Mike Churchward 03 Sep 2003 12:01 GMT-0000 posts: 15 I'm using v1.7.1.1. I was also experimenting with turning off "Display modules to all groups always" on the "General" admin form. I thought I'd turn that off, and add them back manually. That didn't work to well, so I turned it back on. Actually, when I look at it now, it also works for "anonymous" users. It just doesn't seem to work for "Registered". Hmmmmm.

I turned it off, and assigned the "login_box" module to the "Anonymous" group. I get the login box before I login, but it dissapears after I log in. I added the "Registered" group, but the login box doesn't always appear. With a test user I created, that has only ever belonged to just the "registered" group, the login box appears. To another user, that has other groups besides the "registered" group, no login box. ??

Possibly this and the inheritance of permissions could influence the behaviour you are talking about. I also have the Display modules to groups always disabled but my modules appear like they should after I assigned them manually to each required group. I have no dependancies between any groups so can't say if that feature works as it should. Regards, Pat.
