    I'm trying to search through the forums for information, but it is very frustrating to use the simple search tool.

    For instance, I want to figure out how to change a users name, even if it means using some MySQL commands. I figure someone has asked this question already, but searching for it means pages of forums to look through.

    I tried these searches:

    • change user name - 2141 pages if there is ranking, it didn't work well
    • "change user name" - 1666 pages, I don't think the quotes work the way I would like
    • change AND user AND name - since I see and highlighted, I don't think this worked


    Is there any syntax for advanced searches, or any tricks others use to search the forums?

    No tricks, the search only searches through indexed pages as well, not all items will beindexed because of the way the search engine intikiwiki works.

    To answer your question, its a huge PIA!

    You need to go through every single table in your TikiWiki database changing the username from value A to value B

    Do NOT change the username Admin in users_users. If you do you will break the tiki site. Admin is a must have user and cannot be renamed.
