Modules are not displayed

posts: 1

Hi!

I tried to set up my site with modules corresponding to the currently logged on user group, but I failed.

If someone views my page without being logged in, no module is displayed at all.

I already switched off the setting to show all modules always, no matter how the group settings in the module configuration are. Additionally I've set up the configuration in a way that there are some modules displayed when the usergroup is anonymous and others that only show up when someone of the registered users are logged in.

The result was that there were no modules displayed at all when there was nobody logged in, but it worked very well when someone was logged in.

Is there a setting in the configuration that has to be set? Does the anonymous user have settings in the database that maybe interferes with the global settings? I have switched off the ability to change the modules for users now, but it was switched on before.

Thanx for your help!

Greets,
Marc

Try setting the group to Anonymous - if you have no group specified, the module doesn't show up for anyone.

One tip:
If use can assign modules you must force the assigment (if it is the case you have a line Visibility in the admin-> modules panel, and you must choose the 2- choice)
Sometimes a clear cache can help : admin-> system admin-> clear modules/cache

also check in admin->general the "Display modules to all groups always" and "Hide anonymous-only modules from registered users"
