Event notification from calendar

Is there an option to notify a group by email of an event through calendar feature and manage replies and attendance?
I see participants can be customized and listed -no selection of a group though...-, but I see no notification option...
The admin_calendar page I have access to is empty, so I don't know what options are available. Is this a pb on our side?
