Tiki Page design & layout

Hello,

I introduce myself as new tikiwiki user, thanks for such a good product and thanks for being behind supporting it.

I'm trying to start a collaborative group which will develop something similar to a simple wiki. The editor users will have access to the editing capabilities, but I don't want the guest users to have access to any wiki function, menu or so, even the login box. The ideal would be to show them just the body pages.

I can setup a "clone" start page for editors, but I don't know how to configure wiki so no function box (login included) will appear.

I thought even to build a pure html mirror for guest users, extracting the contents with WinZip HttRack or similar, but the problem is the same: how can I eliminate the menu boxes (including login) from the layout, being able to restore it later again?

Your suggestions will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

You can take away any module box in admin->modules.
You can control the groups a module box is displaying by giving a list of groups when you assign a module (in admin->modules). For instance, you can say taht the quick edit page module is only displayed for the group 'editor' (if you have such a group)
You can display only some sections of a menu by giving a group to the section. Ex: the wiki section displayed for the group editor (in admin->menus->application menu)
You can even hide for every body the left or right column (admin->features)
To log in you can use the url tiki-login_scr.php.

That's exactly what I was looking for 😀.

Thanks for replying, Sylvie, it has been of a great help!
