Stop groups from monitoring a Tracker

How can I stop anyone but admin from monitoring a specific tracker?

As a Registered member when I browse to tiki-view.php?trackerID=2 the Monitor button appears. As this tracker will contain data protected information I need to keep it confidential. The rest of the trackers need to be able to be monitored by our registered members.

Try admin-> trackers -> the key icon...You will be aqble to fix perms at a group level

Thanks for that Sylie, but it hasn't solved this problem. You did managed to solve it with a solution you posted to another post, so I don't need to restrict the monitoring of the tracker anymore, but I would still like to know the solution if possible.

Under admin, trackers, perms I don't see an entry pertaining to monitoring the tracker. Which option would stop the monitoring?

Also, if I were to do it this way, wouldn't I have to set all trackers to a higher level of permissions, and then allow all the other trackers specific group perms?

I don't get it. If this tracker is confidential, you need not to give tiki_p_view_trackers to the users, because it doesn't matterif they can or not monitor the tracker if they can see it

Yes I guess that is true. I was using it in connection with extra user information, so had to allow the user to see their own information. The problem was that everyone in that group would have been able to monitor the tracker & therefore collect people's user information stored in the tracker.

As the problem has been solved in your other post I guess it isn't that important any more.
