Altering access rights of specific forum THREADS

Hi,

I have a tikiwiki setup up for a gaming community, and while I can set up individual forums with permissions (I think), I want to be able to create threads within a given forum that only certain people within the group can access.

How do I set it up such that a thread within a particular group is only accessible by specific people within that group? Is that possible without just going to phpBB and making my users register once for the site and again for the forum?

As far as I know, Tiki permissions can be set only for forums, not for individual threads. You'd have to make a new forum.

No, I don't think it's possible. The people within the group would have to be put into a new group in order for different perms to be given to them.

Tiki's forums are getting better but still don't have all the features of standalone forums. If you need those features, maybe Bitstream would work better for you. It's a fork of Tiki that can share user info with phpBB.

I think that what Gary wanted to link to was Bitweaver. This is a fork of TikiWiki. It was called TikiPro.

Heh. I thought that looked a little weird. Thanks, James.
