Rick, on 1.9.x, no idea.
On 1.10, I could make them work (even if I can't find it where did I read how to use it; I thought I read some docs, but I couldn'ty find where in documentation..., in case it was there).
However, I guess your question goes for 1.9.x stable branch, isn't it?
If intereted in 1.10, ask again, and I'll shake my brain to produce some howto...
