File Gallery "disappeared"

Hi All,

I just started using TikiWiki and I was trying to set up a file gallery for my group. I was uploading files happily from the admin account, and playing around with "nested" galleries, mimicking the way the files were stored/organized in folders on my computer.

As I was uploading or changing something, I got a blank, white screen. I waited a few min, nothing happened, my browser told me it had finished loading the page. When I went back to the File Galleries, I found that an entire gallery had "disappeared." It was no longer listed in the main file galleries list, nor could I find any way to navigate to it.

The files I had just uploaded were still listed on the right side of the screen in the "New Files column" and I could click on them and they would be displayed as if they were in a gallery, but there would be no gallery listed at the top of the page.

If I try to move the files to the disappeared gallery or any of its nested galleries, they all appear by name on the drop down list of places to move files to, but I can't find the gallery anywhere else.

I started to recreate the galleries...but these "phantom disappeared" galleries are still lurking around, and now the "move to" list has doubles of everything...which is confusing, because if I move it to a phantom gallery, the file kind of disappears.

Anyone had similar problems or have advice?

Hi again,

I'm very green at this...it would be equally as useful to know if there's a giant "undo" button. I know tikiwiki keeps track of all changes, when they were made, who made them, etc... But I can't figure out how to return to a particular version of the wiki. It seems like I may be able to do this for individual pages, but so far I've found nothing for the file galleries.

Since the gallery seems to be there but isn't visible, maybe there is a permission problem. Is the gallery not listed even when you are logged in as admin? Does the Tiki group that needs access to the gallery have the correct permission to access it?

Nope, the gallery is not listed when I'm logged in as an admin, although I can still move files to "phantom galleries." Files in phantom galleries essentially disappear, although I can still access them through the column of "new files" on the right column.
