how to send my lang file

Hello,
I have installed tiki, loved it, and I am currently translating it to Turkish, and I have translated about 40% of it. The language file I am using is verison 1.7.4, I have a few questions:
- I want to send it to some developer so that you can include it into new releases
- When a new release emerges (V1.8?) I wish we will be able to use the same file or there is a method to use pretranslated values?

By the way, I must have to say that you have done a great work, I will consider writing modules to tikiwiki, although I am experienced in Java and Servlet, but I have to write in php to add a module. (OR am I wrong? I have to check the docs...)

Yes, you'd better learn PHP.
Maybe I misunderstand your question, but I don't think you can use the same file because strings have changed since 1.7. I wonder what you mean by pretranslated values. For sending it to developers, contact UserPagemarclaporte or UserPagemose, otherwise come in the IRC channel.

Chealer9, Thank you for your response. What I meant by pretranslated values is the file we have translated in hand from the old version when a new version is ready. Consider that V1.8 is out and I have a translated lang page of 1.7.4. I wish there is a way to use the translated lang file of old version. Or do people prepare the new lang file for each new version?

Hey, this is a good idea not to rewrite it each version! I'll try to tackle that soon.

...just joking!biggrin Waiting to see you present yourself in the IRC oncewink
