User account expiration

Hi,

I've recently installed the tikiwiki and I need a functionality what I haven't find. Maybe somebody has a good idea to solve:

I'd like to expiry (or ban) a user account automatically after a while (p.e. after 1 year). Before the expiration I would like to send automatically a mail to suggest to contact me soon. (I create the user accounts and would have the possibility to extend the expiration manually for everybody)

This scenario is possible?

Thanks a lot.

Tom

Hi Tamás!

Not sure if this exists but you can try to go to Admin > Admin home > Login and than on the "General preferences" tab you can see "Re-validate user by email after XXX days". You can try to set it to 365. Not sure what happens (if the user gets banned) when there is no answer..maybe this could be upgraded

Also you can set "Password expires after XXX days" on the same tab to 365 and disable "Users can change their password"..this can maybe bring you closer to what you want 😊

Another way could be to make use of the Banning feature but I think you need to code for that

Hope it helps,
Cheers,
Gezza

ps: magyar vagy? a nevedb?l tippeltem.. ha igen akkor üdv 😊

Thank you your answer. I will check, what will happen. The password expiration should solve my problem too, except of the reminder mail, but maybe we can set up a reminder for us, to send a mail.

Ps: igen, köszi a segítséget.
