Re: Invitation on translators' website
Hi, just a note to let you know that for the moment, nobody from TW i18n team registered on penaoz.org .
I fully understand that because the announcement was made in August, and you have much work elsewhere anyway. However, it would be a bit strange to see nobody from here desiring to have a peek at the only TW site for translators.
I will tell you frankly what I would deem perfect participation, if only you were not exhausted by other tasks :
1) At least one webmaster to implement latest i18n technologies (ftp account...). Maybe I could do that myself, but my time is already taken by my real job, and on penaoz.org by welcoming newcomers and showing them the place. Plus, I don't code, and that function should be left to people who can edit scripts and try them on on a day to day basis.
2) At least one writer for a front window blog, which would be the only part readable by anonymous, and which would give the site a public identity (speaking of opensource translation, of TW i18n, of news...). Such a blog can be opened to several writers of course.
Subsidiarily, I also need people to show translators on that site that can accumulate knowledge on the wiki. Most of them don't have the faintest idea what is a wiki, and although they have an excellent literacy level, showing them the way takes a long time in real life.
I think one easy first step would be to copy/paste some relevant pages from here on penaoz.org wiki, so translators can read them, and realize they can edit pages. Like a dedicated structure to walk people around.
Last, if you want to register, for the moment it is through getting invited by me. Of course I am looking for another Admin to send invitations as well.
