Re: Issues with blog features
- 1 Not sure, but modules can be tricky.
- 2 Tiki strips out script and sticks that shmutz in there to tell you it did. It's a security thing. Rick S, who created Tikiwiki for Dummies has a bit about plug ins here:
http://twbasics.keycontent.org/tiki-index.php?page=Using%20Plugins&structure=TikiWiki%20for%20Smarties
The flash plug in works well for me though I have not tried it on the youtubes.
- 3 Wiki syntax originally (and currently) uses "WikiWords" -any word with a an extra capital letter in it (and apparently a dash) automatically becomes a new page link. If this is a new site and you have no links already made using wiki words you can turn off wiki words in Admin/Wiki, then look in the right hand "wiki features" and it's about the 29th feature down from the top called "use wiki words" uncheck that box and no more annoying question marks. Remember, if you did use wikiwords to mmake pages they're all orphans now and you'll have to relink.
So, then how do you make links? With the double paretheses trick: My Page Name. If my example here is a link, then what you do is surround any sequence of words (spaces are fine) with double parentheses). I prefer this as I do find that everytime users use the word "home" or other common page names it is highlighted when it shouldn't be.
