Flash plugin size argument no longer sizes?

Is it just this cheap coffee, or has the behaviour of the flash plugin changed? I'm noticing (in 5.1 now) that when you give a size in the flash plugin, it doesn't display the flash at that size.
The preview looks the right size, but as soon as you click th eplay arrow, the vid displays at the original size in a *window* the size you have specified.
We're doing lots of screen capture vids, which are full size, so we only see part of the vid inside the window! Previously the vid was re-sized to the specification, yes?
