"Group" features permission clarification

In going through the permissions of V6 I've notice a "Group" feature listed in the permissions section. Permissions listed for this feature are things like "tiki_p_group_add_member" and "tiki_p_group_remove_member."

I don't see any documentation on this feature and am having some trouble getting my head around this one. If I check, for instance, that members of the "Editors" group have the "tiki_p_group_add_member" does that mean everybody in "Editors" has permission to add someone to all the groups on the site? Is there a way to cross-reference and define that "George" can add people to the "Editors" group, or even that anyone in the "Editors" group can assign to the "Blog_Editor" group only?

We are also in the same boat. What we would like to do is allow users to govern their own groups by adding/removing users into their group. I created group MyGroup and added John into the group and told him that he will be the group "admin" and that he can add in users he wants. However, there is no facility to do this, or perhaps I just can not find it. I would have figured that this would open up the Admin > Groups option and he can only admin his own group.

Please let me know if you have figured out what this permission/feature does because right now it has no value for me.

Thanks,
Tim
