    The upgrade did not work well at all, all kinds of wrongs, like all links...

    anyway, I need to keep using 3 for now, can I just keep using the db with tiki3 even though I upgraded it to tiki6?

    It seems to work.

    Were there errors SQL reported after running the upgrade?

    Did you review all the release notes from 4, 5, and 6? There are several important structural changes from 3 -> 6, such as permissions and themes, that will require re-work.

    Make sure that your database encoding is correct, too. Manually confirm that the encoding in your local.php matches your database.

    I have now returned to the db backup.

    I did follow all the instructions in the upgrade doc, including forcing the utf8 encoding.
    I think my db already was utf8.

    I did not read all the release notes from 4-6!

    Im just going to stay with 3 as long as it is supported.
