    Version:
    Wiki 6.1.

    Background:
    Before using 6.1, I have only used Wiki 2.10. In 2.10 I could create a text link to an image that opened in a separate window by using the a href tag.

    I have looked through all the documentation and can't find how to do this in Wiki 6.1. The 2.10 a href tag I used does not work in 6.1.

    Workaround:
    I have a workaround in place right now, by using the Wiki syntax, tiki-download_file, (located in the Wiki-Syntax Images documentation page).

    Question:
    But is there a way in 6.1 to have a text link open an image in a new window?

    You could:

    • Use the external link syntax and enable the Open external links in new window option


    or

    • Use the HTML plugin to create the link in HTML and use the target attribute to open a new window.
