SOLVED - Upgrade from 2.2 to 6, download of file greater than 1 MB failing

Running a test upgrade of our current 2.2 installation to latest version 6.2.

Files larger than 1MB in size that already exist in the current 2.2 version are being truncated at 1MB when downloaded from the upgraded 6.2 version.

The PHP.INI file has files sizes set to 100M as does the my.cnf file.

Found a reference to an earlier version issue http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?topics_offset=1&forumId=4&comments_parentId=17704 but then tiki-download_file.php referenced in this link has already been updated with this change.

To verify that it is a download issue, I have uploaded a 2.3MB file to the test system and it shows up in the system with the correct file size, but again the download is truncated at 1 MB.

Anyone else experiencing this issue with version 6.2?
Will i need to do a step install from 2.2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6?

Thanks in advance,

Going from 2.x to 6.x is a huge step. Did you read all of the release notes? I recall a known issue with corrupt file up/download due to database encoding issues.

I have checked all the release notes and the release notes for version 6.2 indicated an upgrade from any version greater than 1.9 was doable.

I have been testing a bit and think I have located the problem by doing a version to version upgrade. Version 2.2 to 3.1 works fine, version 3.1 to 4.0 fails with the same download issue. When upgrading the database from version 3.1 to 4, there is an error message "Warning: Category Permissions Will Not bE Upgraded.

I have searched throughout our entire tikiwiki site and can find nowhere that Category permission are enabled.

Problem Solved. Did an upgrade to version 3.8, exported all the attachments from the database to the file system and then upgraded to version 6.2
