Hide edit button in custom module

I have tried to add a site logo according to this guide:
http://twbasics.tikiforsmarties.com/Adding+a+Logo

My problem is that no matter how I include the image (either plugin img or html), an edit button is shown below the logo (Javascript, Edit plugin:html/img)
Is there any way to disable or hide that?

Found a solution myself. Do not tick "Must be wiki parsed" and use plain html.
I would still be interested if it is possible to suppress edit buttons in a custom module.

You're seeing the edit button because you have Enable edit plugin icons option enabled.

See this for more info.

You can also toggle the display of the plugin edit icon.
