    I don't think there is a "force categorization" feature for articles.

    Regarding the primary differences between articles and wiki pages:

    • Wiki pages: have full history

    • Articles: have publish/expire dates, topic & type categorizations, separate heading/body areas


    Both allow full wiki syntax, including all plugins.
