User Articles and Closed user groups

I just want to know if it is possible and if tiki is the right solution for me.

I want each user to create their own documents and a selected number of users can edit and discuss/comment on that document.
This seems like a regular wiki, but the difference is that it is user centered instead of content centered.

Meaning
User A creates a document called "butterflies"
User C,D,E, must be able to edit/discuss that

User C,D,E also create a document called "butterflies"
and all the others need to be able to edit/discuss that.

It seems that a wiki in general is not the right solution, but I am not sure yet.
IF Tiki is suitable, great !!!
If not, what would you suggest me to look into?

You can do this by configuring the necessary permissions for Groups and Categories.

  • Create a Group that contains a the specific users
  • Create a Category for the specific pages
  • Give the Group the necessary permissions (e.g., edit) for the Category.

You can also do this for specific features (such as Comments).

You should review the Group, Category, and Permissions documentation for details.

You may also find my primer on How permissions work useful.
