Apologies, I should have given more info....
I'm running 1.8 and I'm part of the admin group however there's no "red X button" that I can see.

For each category in the top, I only have an icon on the right allowing me to edit the existing categories at the top of the tree.

I tried logging in as admin but it's still the same.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Peter

Thanks for that. I think we have a bug. There are no "X"s on mine because the "Current Category" panel seems to be cut off on the right hand side. I made my IE window as wide as it would go but it only goes as far as showing the right hand edge of the "Current Category" title bar and the edit icons on the right of the table but no "X" as such.

It *does* however display properly in Mozilla... and it works :-)

Other info that might assist in debugging: I upgraded from 1.7.4 to 1.8, I'm running tiki on Solaris 9, apache 4.0.47, php v4.3.4. I'm browsing using IE 6.0.2800.1106IS running on W2000.

Thanks
Peter

Hi,
so I think I get what you mean, I tried it on 800X600 on IE and the layout is different with Mozilla.
Mozilla puts the right column out of screen because the center column is too large, but it stays usable. In IE, I can easily imagine that someone wouldn't see the delete icon. If I guess correctly, the green frame is messing up things there and making right column to overlap center.
Sorry about all those IE bugs, you see the team seems blind to that stuff.
