    Hello folks, I am stumped, I have looked in the documentation and in forums and now luck. We using Tiki 14.0 with Utopias theme.
    I cannot complete a category description without it getting truncated. Please see http://woodworkerswiki.org/tiki-browse_categories.php?parentId=10&deep=off&type=Question and you'll see the category desc is truncated. I have re entered the entire text and saved many time, I have tried FF, IE, and Chrome and I get the same results, any help is greatly appreciated!

    The category description for Industrial Revolution is as follows: Create your research projects in this category about machinery that was used during the industrial revolution time period from the mid 1700's through the mid 1800's. Please look for sub - categories of the different types of machinery to create your........

    The end of the description should read "machinery to create your project within."

    Hi John,

    The limiting factor is the database field used to store category descriptions, which is varchar(250). You can change the length - 250 - by accessing the table with phpmyadmin. It's the tiki_categories table, and the description column. Just increase 250 to whatever figure is needed to accomodate your descriptions.

    Revisiting this subject, I have changed the default from 250 to 1000.  Yet I am still experiencing the same issue, I have cleared cache, site cache, browser cache, and reloaded that category, yet I am still seeing truncated description text, any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
