File galleries troubles (no more than 1.100ko)

Hello

I have set the "File Galleries" option.

While the pref are set to store files into the database i can't upload more than 1.100ko. (+/-).

The page reset to itself to blank. My admin has update the php memory up to 4mb but that doesn't help.

While the pref are set to store files into a directory i

PS : I just test the "Game" tiki and it does the same, the page reset to itself as nothing occurs. No error, nothing...

Hi, I guess you're talking about 1100 KB here?
4MB memory_limit is "not supposed" to run Tiki if you don't have Turck MMcache, the recommended is 16 M although 12M should be enough.
About the error, what path did you use for filesystem storage? Although I don't think this is the problem, you need a slash at the end (example/) and it must be writable by Apache.

I'm checking that with my admin.

As far as i know, he push the php limit memory from 8 to 12 and things goes better. I'll try to see if a 16 can be done at least to test the issue.

But he says about a PHP limit upload he push it to 4mb but it seams i'm not able to upload more than 3mb.

I have set in the parameters "store files into a directory". But that doesn't help. And in fact i need 7mb and that seam to be a to high limit for my hoster.

Is there any turn around ?

well... I didn't get very far... ๐Ÿ˜ข

The Turck MMcache was kindly put asside by my admin (he is realy trying to help me on otherside so i won't comlpain) as my server is not a dedicated one.

They have push the upload limit of PHP to 8mb as i request.

But that doesn't help. As my server is in the US and i'm in Israel my connection is sometime quit slowed. I'm thinking about a kind of timeout as the biggest the file is the greater chances to hang i can get.

He have tried to upload up to 6.7mb without problem as i'm stuck around 2.7 (sometimes nothing is my bandwidth is reduced by emukle or other progs).

While doing this occured several server freeze till they reduced back the PHP limit.

May be in the end tiki is not buikld to support large file upload and gallerie but rather small documents ?

Hi,
Tiki usually works fine about big uploads when settings are OK. There are from memory 5 to 7 things to check to be sure it should work. Try finding them around.
