Expandable areas in WYSIWYG

I am testing the feature Headline with expandable areas and Expandable areas in lists. I can only make it work in Wiki editing mode. As soon as I choose WYSIWYG mode all the + or - disappears and I have to make them again. Is there a way to make it work in WYSIWYG?
