OK, I added the path to tikiwiki's pear to the existing include_path and get the same error:

Warning: MYSQL error: DB Error: no database selected in query:
select value from tiki_preferences where name='siteTitle'
in C:\tikiwiki-1.7.4\lib\tikilib.php on line 101

I KNOWI have seen this error before and fixed it, I just don't recall how...
