Safe ways to backup the Wiki pages for safekeeping/upgrades

I'm new to Tiki... While it seems stable, I've put a lot of time into my pages--to lose them would be many hours wasted... Besides just zipping up all my files on the server, is there an easy way to archive the pages to my home PC?

I haven't even looked into how to perform upgrades yet... That scares me a little bit too... ;)

There are a few ways to backup the Wiki pages, including to backup the whole DB. You can also go in Admin Wiki and create a dump, but don't consider this to be reliable.

Post again if you need more details, etc. I'm happy to help if I can.

I'm running Tiki on a web hosting site, and I use phpMyAdmin to download dumps of the Tiki database file. I also keep local copies of directories used for storage of uploaded image and other files, and local copies of all customized templates, etc. Apparently Tiki's built-in backup feature isn't reliable, so it's best to use external tools. I think phpMyAdmin is absolutely necessary for database updating and so on, and Invision Filemanager is also a very useful tool for doing such things as emptying the templates_c directory (to flush the cache of old template versions, etc.) It has the same file ownership as Tiki-created files, so there's no permission problem as can arise when trying to delete the files by ftp, etc. These can both be installed on your server via ftp, and used with your browser.
