Features / Usability

Yorak, I found a tiki plugin that should be good for your project.
Here at https://doc.tiki.org/PluginWebDocViewer

I tested it here at http://tpwtestuser.com/tiki17/tiki-index.php?page=Word-Doc-Test-View

I uploaded the word docs to my file gallery, and displayed them via plugin syntax:

{webdocviewer fileId="1" width="425" height="350"}

Hope this is what you were looking for. Of course there a ton of possibilities with this, you could create a tracker form to use to upload your doc files, and display them like you want without having to manually place webdocviewer syntax to display the files.
