    I also just got the out-of-memory-error described in this Article: http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=82 . And now my tiki seems to hang. I can't access it anymore http://tiki.heikohaller.de.
    It's not the apache - everything else still works fine - even the other tiki-installation I am running on the same server (http://fu-psychos.cognitools.org).
    How can I restart my tiki?

    The PHP.INI needs to be modified as per that article. Yes everything else will still work because they dont need more than 8Mb of memory. Tiki does.

    Please make the modifications as per that article and you will get your tiki back. Its the only way.

    Unfortunalely, as I am using a shared server, I don't have access to it.

    Isn't there a way to get back to the state just before it crashed -
    I do not even get an error message (http://tiki.heikohaller.de)-
    Can't I just run it with 8 MB like before, without the picture gallery - until i find a new host?

    Its time to find an alternative host rather quickly. Once Tiki has reached that boundry there is little you can do to get it back. Even deleting content in the database directly, in terms of removing pages etc wont bring it back.

    TikiFriendlyHosts will be the way forward.

    It's working again.
    It came back by itself (probably thaks to some timeout) after approx. 1 hour - unless anyone called a hidden go-on-tiki-try-it-once-more.php on my server 😊.

    I beleive you and spent several hours searching and posting lots of "do you allow PHP memory_limit > 8 MB" in lots of support-forums of lots of webhosters.

    It will come and go depending on your load, 8Mb environments and Tiki just dont work.
